HELLO, I’M SARAH MILNE
Designer. Creative thinker. Brand builder.
I'm the founder and creative behind Soar Creative, an independent design studio built on more than 25 years of experience bringing brands, ideas and businesses to life through thoughtful, intentional design.
My career in design began long before Soar. Over the past two decades, I've worked across brand identity, graphic and digital design, websites, marketing and creative direction for businesses of all shapes and sizes. In 2017, I brought that experience together to create Soar: a studio built around exceptional design, genuine collaboration and a more personal creative experience.
Today, I've had the privilege of working with more than 300 clients across Calgary, Canada and beyond, helping businesses find clarity in how they look, communicate and show up in the world.
I remain intentionally hands-on with every project. When you work with Soar, you're working directly with me from discovery and concept through design and execution. No layers, no hand-offs. Just thoughtful strategy, experienced creative direction and a collaborative process designed to create work that feels distinctly yours.
And after 25+ years, I still genuinely love what I do.

A little more about me.
When I'm not designing, you'll usually find me navigating life with three older kids, one now off at university, squeezing in a round of golf, hitting a workout at F45, catching live music or planning my next adventure.
I'm endlessly curious and happiest when there's something new to experience, whether that's learning a new golf shot, tackling a DIY project, discovering a new place or simply finding a different way to look at something I've seen a hundred times before.
That curiosity finds its way into my work too. I believe the best creative ideas come from paying attention, staying open and never getting too comfortable doing things the way they've always been done.
